Tinting
Enhance your vehicle's style, privacy and comfort with professional window tinting. We offer every shade from legal limit front tints through to full privacy limo black rear tints, all fitted by trained installers in our controlled workshop and backed by a lifetime warranty.
WINDOW TINTING
Window tinting is the application of a thin, optically clear film to the inside surface of your vehicle's glass. The film contains dyes, metals or nano ceramic particles that reduce the amount of visible light passing through, along with blocking UV rays and reducing heat inside the cabin.
A quality window tint does far more than change how your car looks. It improves privacy, reduces interior heat on hot days, blocks up to 99% of harmful UV rays, protects your interior trim and seats from fading, cuts glare from oncoming headlights and low sun, and gives your vehicle a sleeker, more refined appearance.
We use premium window films from leading manufacturers including 3M, Llumar and Global, installed by trained technicians in our controlled, dust free workshop environment. Every installation comes with a lifetime warranty covering bubbling, peeling, fading and discolouration, giving you complete peace of mind.
We tint all makes and models, from everyday hatchbacks to large SUVs and prestige vehicles. Whether you want a factory style tint on the rear windows, full privacy limo black, legal limit front tints for heat and UV protection, or a chameleon colour shift windscreen strip, we have a shade and film type to match your requirements and budget.

Window tint darkness is measured in VLT, or Visible Light Transmission. The lower the percentage, the darker the tint.

OUR PROCESS
Is Window Tinting Legal in the UK?
UK TINT LAW
Window tinting is legal in the UK, but strict rules apply to front windows and the windscreen. We ensure every installation meets UK law so you can enjoy the benefits of window tinting without any legal concerns.
Police and DVSA officers use a device called a photometer to measure VLT at the roadside. Illegal front window tints can result in a £60 fine, 3 penalty points and may invalidate your car insurance.
If you want the benefits of front window tinting without any legal risk, we offer ceramic films specifically rated at 70% VLT or above, designed to meet the legal limit while delivering maximum heat and UV rejection.
A roof wrap on its own makes a big difference. Combined with other styling services, the transformation is even more striking. We offer package pricing when you combine services.

Window Tinting FAQs
-
Window tinting prices depend on the vehicle size and shade chosen. Rear window tinting for a small hatchback starts from around £120, medium cars £150 to £200, and larger SUVs from £250 upwards. Full vehicle tinting including rear windows plus legal limit front tints typically costs between £200 and £350 depending on the vehicle. Ceramic and specialty films carry a small premium. We provide fixed quotes based on your specific vehicle.
-
VLT stands for Visible Light Transmission, the percentage of light that passes through the tint film. The lower the number, the darker the tint. 5% is limo black (near total privacy), 20% is dark (factory style privacy), 35% is medium, and 50% plus is light. 20% is our most popular shade because it replicates the factory privacy glass look found on many new cars. Use our shade visualizer above to see exactly how each shade looks.
-
Yes, window tinting is legal in the UK but strict rules apply to front windows. The front windscreen must allow at least 75% of light through and front side windows must allow at least 70% through. There are no legal restrictions on rear side windows or the rear windscreen, which can be any shade including 5% limo black. We ensure all our installations comply with UK law.
-
Most window tinting installations are completed within 1 to 3 hours depending on the number of windows and the vehicle type. Full vehicle tinting on larger SUVs may take longer. We will confirm timescales when we book you in.
-
Our premium window films are designed to last the lifetime of your ownership. We back every installation with a lifetime warranty covering bubbling, peeling, cracking, fading and discolouration. Unlike cheap films that can turn purple or peel within a few years, our films maintain their appearance and performance for decades.
-
Rear window tinting will not affect your MOT regardless of how dark it is. Front window tinting may be tested if an MOT examiner believes it does not meet the legal 70% light transmission requirement. We only fit films to front windows that meet UK legal limits, so your vehicle will pass MOT without any issues.
-
Police and DVSA officers can test front window tint darkness at the roadside using a photometer. Illegal tint can result in a £60 fine and 3 penalty points, a Rectification Notice requiring you to remove the tint within 10 days, or in severe cases a Prohibition Notice preventing you from using the vehicle. Illegal tint may also invalidate your insurance. We always keep our installations within UK law.
-
Yes, but only up to the 70% legal limit. We offer ceramic films specifically rated at 70% VLT or above, which allow you to benefit from heat rejection, UV protection and glare reduction while staying fully legal. These films are virtually invisible but still provide significant protection against sun damage and cabin heat.
-
No. Professional installation using quality films causes no damage to glass or rubber seals. Our technicians carefully loosen seals to tuck the film in neatly without any scratching or stretching. When removed professionally, premium film leaves no residue or damage.
